Artist's Comments

Project from earlier this year- mainly meant as an experiment with Goache. Learned it cannot be used for backgrounds.

The idea was based on the fact that when I was little and would go see the circus, I used to hold my breath when tigers and lions would jump though the firey hoop, wondering if they would change into something else

It IS a terrible photograph- too large to scan, I apologize for the cropping.

This is awesome! Wow, all the detail is just marvelous and it's such a creative idea. It has a kind of oriental quality that captures the grace of it's body's lines.

The only thing I see that I can complain about are its back legs. The anatomy of that back leg we see is off some. The back feet are also really plain and lack the detail and grace that's on the rest of your creature. Nonetheless, this is a gorgeous painting.

Thanks very much- yes, my professor said the same thing about the oriental quality.

Yeah, those back legs *whisper* I.... sort of ran out of time.. plus this is old at this point, heh- yeah, you're right ^^;

You should play around with it some more... that could make for a lot of really great images!
